Vitamin D and Irritable Bowel Disease

by Loren marshall

I have just found out my vitamin D is low and wonder why they have never tested me for it in previous years.

I have been diagnosis with Irritable Bowel Disease for 15 years, Hyperthyroidism for 9 years and PCOS for 5years.

I have been complaining that I do not lose weight and very tired and my joints hurt. I am 42 years old. The doctor has blamed the IBD. I just don't understand if these are all related to one lack of vitamin why has it gone on for all this time.

After I take a Vitamin D supplement and a Calcium supplement will this effect the levels of the other illnesses I have? And will it eventually allow me to stop the medication for them?

I am really hoping I can get more energy and stop this merry go round of trying to lose weight to get more energy so I can enjoy time with my family.

Hoping you can help answer my questions.

Thanks,
Loren
