IBS and Vitamin D
by: Kerri Knox, RN-The Immune Health Queen!

If anything, Vitamin D can PREVENT IBS from occurring. Vitamin D acts like a steroid hormone to reduce inflammation. And most of the time, vitamin d levels are low when someone is diagnosed with IBS, ruling out too much vitamin D as a CAUSE of IBS. I just don't even know why you would be ASKING that question really, because it's exactly the opposite of everything that I know about vitamin D!

More likely the cause of your IBS is due to Gluten Sensitivity. Although this isn't the ONLY cause of IBS, there is also a stress component and increased inflammation among other things. You do NOT have to live with IBS. Are you ready to accept that what you are doing and what you are eating is contributing to your health problems? Are you ready to learn how to overcome your IBS and regain your life back?
