I found ouy that i have H pylori,

Hello, I just found out that I have H pylori, Im not sure how long Ive had it or how I contacted it. I dont live in overpopulated areas or a underdeveloped country. I haven kissed anyone to have gotten this. I dont understand how I contacted this bacteria. Im afraid my kids may get it because I just found out yesterday and I dont know how long Ive had this. Am I contageous?? Is this bacteria a very serious matter? Should I be concerned for my health or my childrens health? Please let me know. Im scared. The doctor didnt seem like it was a major thing but reading all the things on the internet has gotten me very worried. Thank you
