Hpylori infection

My name is Rania and I hot infected with this bacteria 4 months ago and took a 14 day antibiotics and didn't work, so I I went to my Naturopathic Doctor and put me on an Herbal Regimen for two months, and I just finished the treatment and I have to do a breath test in two weeks and also an endoscopy.

My question is I tested my two kids and also my husband and there tests came back negative for the bacteria. I was wondering if I should retest again? They all were tested with a poop test. Is very concerned about there health, I practice good hygiene and Iam very anal when it comes to cleaning and disinfecting. I really don't know how I got my from the beginning.

Thank you

Maybe all the cleaning and disinfecting is making you sick

Hi Rania,

I'm not sure why you would want to test your kids and your husband again. They were negative. How many negative tests would you need to do before you would believe that they were really negative?

And maybe it's all the cleaning and disinfecting that's MAKING you sick and allowing you to get infections in the first place. Our bodies are SUPPOSED to be exposed to bacteria and such so that we can build up immunity and have a strong immune system that is ABLE To fight off pathogens when we are exposed to them.

Think of your immune system like a military unit. Constant training and doing drills makes a military unit stronger, right? If you wanted to protect a target from invaders would you do constant drills and training on a military unit? Or would you do everything in your power to keep that unit from ever leaving the couch?

So it is with your immune system. You are allowing your immune system to sit behind the couch all of the time and become totally out of shape and unorganized, not allowing them to fight off invaders when they come around, which is how you get sick.

Overcleanliness has also been implicated in allergies and auto-immune diseases too because that out of shape military unit you call your immune system will finally get exposed to something that it needs to fight off and start going crazy- shooting everywhere and attacking the good guys and the bad guys because they haven't had any training to distinguish the difference between the two.

It's a fact that kids who grow up around dirt and allergens (kids on farms and particularly kids with pets and farm animals) grow up healthier than their counterparts in the city or those without pets. This shows that cleanliness does NOT help you to stay well, but may make you sick!

Stop being so 'anal' about cleanliness. While there is certainly a fine line where being filthy can make you sicker, there is also a line where being more clean makes you sicker too. You need to find a middle ground where you don't disinfect your house constantly, but it stays clean.

I NEVER use disinfectants, bleaches, cleansers or ammonia to clean anything in my house, and I hardly ever even wash my hands. I'll use vinegar or soap and water (NOT antibacterial soap) when something is really dirty or was contaminated with something vile (like the toilet overflowing). And I have not been sick in years, and my seasonal allergies have completely gone away.

I even go overseas to Latin American countries and drink the tap water and eat the vegetables and fruits unwashed with few to no problems. That's because my immune system is super strong. Bacteria, viruses, etc. are EVERYWHERE- there are even millions of pathogenic bacteria on your skin, in your mouth, your sinuses, your digestive tract and even in your eyes constantly. You are NOT doing yourself any favors by being clean, in fact you are probably harming yourself and the health of your family by doing so.
