Treatment does not necessarily mean it's gone

Treatment of H pylori does not necessarily mean that the infection has been eradicated. Treatment fails to cure the infection up to 1/3 of the time. You need to get tested again to make sure that the treatment was successful. And soon after treatment, the only acceptable way to test for eradication is an H Pylori Stool Test. The blood test is not useful after you have been treated.
