Panic Attacks from Magnesium Deficiency?

by Gloria

Is magnesium good for getting rid of panic attacks? and if so how much should I be taking. For the past month i get a panic attack every night when its time for sleep. this makes me feel horrible the next day.

I started taking 1000 mgs. a few days ago and felt good for two days but had another one last night. Is this too much? or should I be taking more or less? I am experiencing loose stools and dry mouth could this be from the magnesium.

vitamin D3 and anxiety

I've read that when taking vitamin D3, you should take the magnesium with it. I was getting some anxiety as I do take thyroid Armour because I haven't a thyroid. I read where the vitamin D3 can make you hyper-is this right?

Thank

Menopause, anxiety, heartburn and magnesium deficiency?

54 year old , female, menopause for past 2.5 years, recent onset of increased anxiety, heartburn, not completely resolved with use of PPI's, currently taking Nexium daily, occasional use of TUMS tabets as well.

I just began Vitamin/Mineral supplementation, containing 200 mg Magnesium Oxide, also using Protein Drinks that have approximately 100 mg of magnesium oxide (use 2 a day so I am getting 200 mg of Magnesium Oxide daiy from this as well.) Want to begin daily supplementation of 800-1000 mg of Chelated Magnesium.

Please advise on safety of this dosage.
