Will I Always Test Positive For H Pylori

I was infected with this bacteria a few years ago via saliva. After my final visit to be cleared, I was told that I will always test positive for the bacteria. Is this correct?

False

That claim is true... and false. It is true that you MIGHT test positive in your BLOOD for life. I was not though, for instance, so it depends upon the person.

However, once you have eradicated the bacteria, you will not test positive on stool or breath test, provided you have given sufficient time (at least a month) after you have eradicated the bacteria.

So, my recommendation is that once you have had H pylori in your life, then you always get retested using The H Pylori Stool Test
