Vitamin D Level of 4 ! Yipes!

Yipes!

A vitamin D level of 4 ng/ml is pretty serious.
Did your doctor check a calcium level and a parathyroid hormone level? These tests are important in order to make sure that there is nothing wrong with your parathyroid gland that could be causing your low vitamin D levels.

Assuming that your calcium level is OK, then you need that vitamin D level treated ASAP. I hope that your doctor is treating your Vitamin D deficiency aggressively, if not- please call him right away or find someone qualified to help you treat your severe deficiency!

But your CRP. That is a more difficult situation. For those of you who do not know, CRP, also called C- Reactive Protein, is a blood test that tests for inflammation in the body. Normal levels are between 1 to 2, so 13 is over 6 times higher than it should be! That's a LOT of inflammation.

Unfortunately, CRP is not Specific to any type of inflammation. All we know is that the inflammation is there and you should get a full medical workup to make sure that there is nothing serious going on with you- like an infection that you don't know about.

We know that increased CRP is a risk factor for heart disease, but most of the time, they don't know WHERE the inflammation is coming from that causes heart disease. If you don't have any Obvious inflammatory conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, the FIRST place to look is your MOUTH!!

Inflammation from untreated dental conditions is highly suspected when there is a high CRP. So get a dental checkup and read Money by the Mouthful if you have ANY dental disease- whether it is cavities or periodontal disease. But get that taken care of.

But if your mouth is in good shape and you don't have any serious medical conditions, then the inflammation is almost surely coming from your GUT. Your gut is where almost all hidden inflammation in the body is coming from. And that starts with diet.

It is really imperative that you bring that CRP down as it is saying that there is something very serious going on in the body. But it is also something that your doctor is not likely to figure out. So you are going to need to take matters into your own hands. I'll tell you how to do that in the next comment.

Bringing CRP Levels Down
by: Kerri Knox, RN-The Immune Health Queen!

So to bring your CRP levels down, you FIRST need to begin an anti inflammatory diet. That is no processed foods, no sugar, no coffee, no sodas, no preservatives, no pesticides, grass fed and free range meats only. All organic produce, minimal dairy- if any at all, and RAW if you MUST have dairy at all.

And the biggie, NO GLUTEN!! Gluten is a protein that is present in a large number of grains. And it is seriously inflammatory!!

So, getting rid of the gluten and processed foods should be a number one priority. If this sounds daunting, then you should get some help. And if you want to get started on the right foot, get the Dr. Mercola's Book Take Control of Your Health and take the Nutritional Typing Test to find out what your metabolic type is.

If you do what they suggest, you will really get off on the right foot and learn how to reduce that high CRP that is likely to be stemming from your poor inflamed digestive tract that is rebelling from years of poor food choices.

By the way, this inflammation in your gut is one of the main reasons for ALL disease!! Catching this now is great so that you can ward off any health problems in the future.

I really hope that you heed this advice, your future health depends upon it. Let me know if you have any questions.
