Oh my, lots of questions...
by: Kerri Knox, RN- The Immune Queen!

Hi Lacey,

I don't mind lots of questions and confusion when it appears that you have actually read my pages here and attempted to make sense of them.

So, first of all, I've seen WAY worse vitamin d levels than 18, but it's not good and needs to be taken care of. And yes, all Prescription Vitamin D is Vitamin D2 and you would be better off simply replacing the prescription with the same amount in Vitamin D3 Supplements.

And yes, there is definitely a possibility that your absorption problems are due to simply having too low of an acid issue from taking Omeprazole and, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to really clean up your diet for a while as well as getting on a High Quality Multivitamin and Mineral Supplement which has very high quality absorbable nutrients unlike many of the poor quality vitamins out there.

But once your hair and vitamin d are under control, if you are happy with your health, you may not need to be as strict with your diet forever- unless you really enjoy feeling as good as you will feel if you really clean things up and get off of gluten for awhile!!

But anyway, yes, it is possible to get off of antacids. Ironically, doctors give 'Antacids' for GERD when the problem is nearly always LOW ACID production that gives the same symptoms as GERD.

So, the solution? See this page on Taking Magnesium With Barrett's Esophagitis to see the surprising, but surprisingly effective, way to solve a problem of GERD.

And yes, it would be a great idea to self schedule another vitamin d test- 3 months after you start taking the Vitamin D3 Supplements is fine.

Hope this helps.

I want to thank YOU for the great info & advice you provide. I have managed to get my health on a good track thanks to you. The results from proper levels of vital minerals & vitamins are tremendous. I found out that of all the doctors I Have had practice on me were not very trust worthy, they were toying with me & keeping me sick.

It's a shame that so many people trust & rely on them for help & recovery from their health problems & they really don't care about us. They only care about how many patients they can run through in a day. I use my dr. only, for obtaining blood tests. To check my vitals of C, D, & other items I learned to keep in check from YOU. TODAY I admit I am very healthy because of your help & recommendations. BLESS YOU!!!
