Fibromyalgia doesn't cause anything
by: Kerri Knox, RN, The Immune Queen

Please see my page on Fibromyalgia Syndrome vs Disease. Fibromyalgia doesn't cause ANYTHING. Fibromyalgia is a 'junk' diagnosis that means that you have chronic pain in the connective tissue, it is not a 'disease'.

Lots of people have chronic low back pain. Having chronic low back pain does not mean that you have Fibromyalgia. In fact, nothing means that you have fibromyalgia, since it is not a diagnosis, but a description of pain you are experiencing.

If you have pain, doctors should look for the cause of the pain, not seek to give you a meaningless diagnosis for which they can then ignore you, since there is no effective treatment.
