No, not D2...
by: Kerri Knox, RN- The Immune Queen!

Hi Roland,

Wow! So a Vitamin D Level of 5 is almost non-existant! So, I find it interesting that you believe that you are eating foods 'rich' in Vitamin D.

I'm not trying to pick on you, I'm just pointing out that you're belief is so similar to everyone else's- including your doctor!!

Doctors tell people that they will get plenty of Vitamin D in their diet if they just eat a balanced diet, but unless you eat pounds of fish every day- there simply IS no diet that provides enough Vitamin D!!

Next, the answer to your main question is NO NO NO, Vitamin D2 therapy is NOT appropriate. The ONLY appropriate therapy is Vitamin D3.

And while I'm SO HAPPY that you have finally found out about your Vitamin D Level, I hate to tell you that your severe Vitamin D Deficiency may have contributed to much of your back pain- and if you doctor had actually read the research about Vitamin D and Pain, then its possible that you would not have had the back pain that led you to having surgery in the first place!

I imagine that your doctor has told you that you absolutely NEEDED to have back surgery or.... (fill in the blank). But that is only their OPINION. Their are MANY other people that believe differently and have great success helping people overcome their back pain without drugs and without surgery.
