Chronic Stomach Pain from H Pylori

by Camilla

I've been medicated twice for h pylori and I was doing fine for a couple weeks, but now the pain is coming back. Does this happen to anyone else and what should I do for it to go away?

H pylori fail
by: Kerri Knox, RN

H Pylori Eradication fails in up to 1/3 of all cases. That means that every one in three treatments for H pylori fail to get rid of the bacteria, and many of those people who fail, fail again after 2 and even 3 treatments.

The first thing that you should do is to get retested. Having symptoms after treatment is meaningless, as your symptoms could be caused from many different problems. It does not necessarily mean that you failed to eradicate the H pylori.

Find out for sure by getting an In Home H Pylori Stool Test. Do NOT let your doctor give you a blood test after treatment, as blood testing can remain positive for long periods of time after treatment. You need to get a stool test after treatment, and you still need to wait about one month after treatment to do the stool test in order for it to be accurate.

Then, if you are still positive, you can go on to the next step by getting the book The H Pylori Solution and learning how and why you are failing to eradicate this bacteria and what to do about it to get rid of this bacteria once and for all.
