Can I infect my 13 month grandson with H Pylori?

I am going to visit my 13 month old grandson in 1 and a half weeks for a 2 week stay. I will begin my treatment of antibiotics tomorrow. Is it possible to infect my grandson and of course his parents during my visit. Don't know how long I have had this illness. I have been with my grandson off and on since his birth. Thanks for a reply. I am a teacher. Dr. Thinks that may be where I got the illness.

Thank you,
Beth

Hi Beth,

Please read my page on Is H Pylori Contagious and the page called Must Read Answer about Questions Regarding H Pylori Being Contagious.

PS: Your doctor is just COMPLETELY speculating about where you got H pylori. You could have got it from your parents or a family member when you were a child, from a boyfriend, a friend in school growing up, from a restaurant, from the kids in your school, or at any other point in your entire life. It's a pointless exercise attempting to figure out where you got the H pylori from since you could have had it for 2 months or for your entire life.
