Answer:

Hi Sara,

Yes, it seems that your doctor is on top of things. In 3 months, taking 50,000 IU's per week for 12 weeks, will end up being about 600,000 IU's of Vitamin D total.

Make sure that you get your Vitamin D Level Checked again after this time because it might surprise you that you could still be Vitamin D Deficient!!

50,000 IU's per week is only about 7000 IU's per day and that would be a maintenance dose if you are very large or are obese!!!

So, make sure that you get checked again- especially if you are still having muscle pain and bone pain as studies show that people who are even MILDLY Vitamin D Deficient continue to have Muscle Pain and Bone Pain.

And by MILDLY Deficient, I mean less than 50 ng/ml. More and more, researchers are realizing that lowest normal number of 30 ng/ml on lab reports is just too low and should still be considered 'deficiency' or 'insufficiency'.

Getting your numbers up may take a LOT of Vitamin D, but a great way to bring them up that can also help with your depression is to Get out in the Sun. Doctors have told us that the sun is bad for us, but there are some researchers and doctors who are beginning to change their tune.

Get the book Dark Deception to see why what 'they' are telling you about sunlight exposure may simply be a complete lie!!
