Heart Palpitations..
by: Kerri Knox, RN- The Immune Queen!

Hi Jo,

No, it sounds like you are 'doing it right', but just doing the magnesium oil once in a while is not likely to be correcting your deficiency. So, I would suggest that you take a look at my page on the right Magnesium Dosage.

You may just need to be taking lots, lots more magnesium than you think. Plus, if you are deficient in magnesium, what else might you be deficient in?

I NEVER recommend that people take single nutrients by themselves as nutrients all work together and taking one high dose nutrient may very well deplete another- as is the case with Magnesium and Vitamin D.

So, I also suggest that you get on a HIGH QUALITY- not a drug store brand- multivitamin that also contains at least 50 mg of vitamin b6. If you are low on Vitamin B6, then you can't absorb magnesium well and all the magnesium that you are taking might just be getting wasted.

Then, one important thing that you need to do is to get off of ALL caffeine, stimulants and any artificial sweeteners. One of the Side Effects of Aspartame is 'excitotoxicity', which means that cells can get stimulated. Heart palpitations and arrhythmias HAVE been reported with the use of Aspartame. So you really MUST be sure to stop all stimulants and artificial sweeteners too.

Hope that this helps...
