How Much Can I 'Cheat' on the Diet

by Steve

I am a victim of Levaquin Toxicity. I am doing everything you say to get better. It's been 3 weeks and I'm still on bed rest. The magnesium I'm taking is called Mag- G. 500 mg. Is this the right kind of magnesium? Also- I have been very strict with the diet and other supplements. Is it ok to include some foods in my life once a month such as a slice of pizza and some wine? Would organic wine be ok in the future?

Thank you

I can't help you decide that

Hi Steve,

I can't really help you to decide how much 'cheating' would be OK for you. It will be different for every person and everyone has to gauge the risk to benefit ratio for themselves. How big a 'risk' is it for you to eat pizza and drink wine?? How big is the benefit?? What is the risk if you DON'T have the pizza and wine?? :) For some people NOT having it is an even bigger risk to mental health than having it is to their physical health. You'll have to weigh that for yourself.

As far as the magnesium is concerned, I've never heard of 'Mag-G' , but if you are only taking 500 mg, I suggest that you read the section on magnesium again because you are not taking NEARLY enough. And the section will tell you what kind of magnesium to take, just compare it to the type of magnesium that is in the Mag-G.
