Hi Patty,

Are you better? If not, then I'd continue and also do the rest of the protocol as well. If you ARE better, then you can gradually back off the magnesium until you find a dose that you can take daily without your symptoms coming back.

You should take vitamin D for the rest of your life, and you may need to take magnesium forever as well. These are nutrients, not drugs, and these nutrients are in short supply in our environment. Joshua and I probably do half of the entire protocol most days with exceptions only as a treat, and we are completely healthy! We just do that to MAINTAIN good health.

Am I better
by: Patti

Yes I would say I am much better thankfully. I have combined your regime with daily stretching. Not sure which to credit or probably both but my legs are not so tight (an understatement)

Do you think I can cut back on the daily Mg gel? This is all so time consuming and expensive

Also I am increasing my Ca because I had cut back on that when I increased the Mg. I am taking them at separate times. 400 mg Mg in the morning and 400 mg Mg during the rest of the day. 1500 mg Ca at night before bed. My nutritionist said my Ca levels had dropped too low so recommended that dosage

Thanks for your help on this. It's been a long 5 years!

So glad

So glad to hear that you are doing well. I know how frustrating everything can be. As far as cutting back, you'll just have to play it by ear. First cutting back on the mag gel is probably a good place to start and just make sure that you continue to do well. Magnesium needs can change day to day, so you might do fine cutting back for a while and need to increase if you get stressed or don't eat well for a while. It's just a matter of how you feel.

As I said, Joshua and I do much of what is in the book just to REMAIN healthy. So, it will really just depend upon how you feel.
