Can I Overdose on B12

by Lisa

I have Crohns Colitis (in colon) and peri anal disease so have regular blood tests. A few years ago I was told my red blood cells were unusually large which can be indicative of B12 deficiency.

I had a blood test and my B12 was 259. That was 3 years ago. At my last consultation with my Crohns doctor I requested a B12 test. Sure enough, it came back 159. I have been informed I need B12 injections.

Initially 3 a week for 2 weeks. Then once every 3 months. I feel totally wiped out. Foggy headed and so tired. My question is - Can I take B12 sublingual while I am waiting for my B12 appointments in 2 weeks time? Can I overdose on B12?
