Dr. Cannell is even MORE knowledgeable about Vitamin D than I am and he developed it! So, it's fine.

But if you are getting anxious taking vitamin d, it's VERY likely that you have a 'relative' magnesium deficiency- meaning that you have a continual subclinical deficiency that you should be trying to correct.

Those who don't ALREADY have a magnesium deficiency don't get magnesium deficiency symptoms just from taking a couple of thousand IU's of vitamin d!! In other words, you are sitting right on the edge of being magnesium deficient all of the time and that's not a good state to be in.

Ideally, you'll want to take more than 'just' the small amount that is in Dr. Cannell's formula and get your cells 'saturated' so that you don't have that problem any more.

Your body is telling you that you have a deficiency and you need to fix that. Also, if you are deficient in vitamin d and magnesium, what ELSE are you deficient in?? Who knows?

So, I hope that you are taking a multivitamin as well because magnesium and zinc need vitamin B6 in order to be absorbed. If you are low in B6, maybe that's why you are low in magnesium. And it goes on and on. We don't know all of the nutrients that other nutrients require to be absorbed and/or utilized, so I never recommend that people take single nutrients alone and I ALWAYS recommend that people also take a high quality food based multivitamin such as:

Nutrients do not act like drugs, they require other cofactors, enzymes and nutrients to work, so make sure that you have enough of everything so that they CAN work.
