Aluminum absorbancy and Vitamin D

by Carissa

I've read that vitamin D actually makes aluminum that already in your body absorb even more into the tissues and bones. Is there some truth in that?

I've also read that washing your body after you get sun, washes off whats needed to make vitamin D in your body after exposure to the sun. How does that work?

Huh?

I don't know what you are reading, but Vitamin D drives aluminum deeper into your body? What? Someone just pulled this out of thin air and I have absolutely no idea what they are talking about.

And think about it, if aluminum is in your bones and tissues, how would it go 'deeper' into your body? What does that even mean?

Yes, vitamin d washes off your body. It's made in the oils on your skin and if you wash the oil off before it's had time to absorb (24 to 48 hours), then you've just washed the vitamin d down the drain with the oils on your skin.

If I were you, I'd be FAR more worried about getting your levels into the normal range and getting the known benefits of: reduction in risk of many cancers, reduction in risk of MS, prevention of osteoporosis and the many many other KNOWN benefits of getting enough vitamin d than worrying about whether or not aluminum that is already in your body is going to go 'deeper' in some unspecified and unknown way.
