I was exposed to h pylori and told drs and no one checked for 4 yrs!

I was exposed to H.pylori from an ex boyfriend and he actually lost half his stomach,we did not live together,but I stayed over a lot! I immediately asked to be tested by my family doctor and HE REFUSED!I myself vomited daily AND until I would collapsed,Id go get Ivs and ask them to check me,just to keep being sent home from emergency rooms,told I had GERD. even though I never had heartburn!Each time I went in ER, I ASKED TO BE TESTED.

I always was beyond dehydrated and dangerously low on potassium! I asked to be checked for this by my pcp,3hospitals and even A pain management doctor!I have degenerative disc&fractures in neck&he found a tumor on my thyroid,sent me to the cancer doctor who did a double biopsy on me,and ITS BENIGN!I was still puking and losing weight,so cancer doc sent me to a stomach doc!She immediately listened to me, checked me, and here I am FOUR Years later,on hardcore antibiotics!I was finally heard and checked and wow! Why wont Doctors listen?

I had multiple spine surgeries and lived four years with H.pylori! I am a single mom!I am getting treated now, but this is ridiculous!I know some things mimic other things- but when you are so sick and no one listens! Telling doctor after doctor, that you were exposed to, and need checked for H.pylori! I have lost so much weight,teeth from vomiting, and now worried about my kid! Oh,and I am a nursing assistant and I had to quit nursing school and work and get on ssi .....this all seems like a nightmare! AVOIDABLE NIGHTMARE
