h pylori association with jra, allergies and overactive bladder

my son suffers from enviromental allergies and seems to have a corn and gluten sensitivity. He is being treated for a spasmic bladder and was recently diagnosed with jra. He is also anemic. The chiropracter kinesiologist we visited suspects h pylori and claims that my sons ailments are all associated to the h pylori infection. Sems odd and hard to believe its true since none of the medical doctors we saw in the past ever mentioned this. Whats your opinion on this whole thing? eagerly awaiting your reply

Doctors won't say anything about it

Doctors are not GOING to say anything about H pylori unless your son has heartburn. Please see my page on Symptoms of H Pylori to see why the symptoms can be ANYTHING. I'm surprised that at this point in time with your son you are still relying on your doctors giving you all of the information about your son's condition anyway. I've found that with chronic health problems, doctors are miserable at giving any answers at all. You are lucky that they even considered food allergies and gluten as possible problems for you son. The average time of diagnosis for most people with gluten problems is over a decade.

In any case, it's not like you just have to take the word of your chiropractor or go through a million dollars in testing to find out if your chiropractor is right. Get him tested with a simple blood or stool test and find out if he has it. If your son doesn't have it, then your chiropractor is wrong. If he does have it, then maybe he's on to something and you'll find out for sure when you get your son treated and eliminate it.

In any case, both anemia and food allergies can be related to H pylori.

But why question his thinking so much when you can just get a quick and simple test and see if he has the bacteria? It's all just pure speculation until you get him tested, so get him tested and find out. What do you have to lose? You have been given SOMETHING that you can definitely test for that is an infection in the stomach and if he has it then you have something to treat that has the possibility of helping your son, if it were me I'd be jumping for joy that SOMEBODY has an idea that can be easily and definitively tested for that MIGHT help.
