My Sad GI system

I have had chronic gastrointestinal issues that started around aged 12. I have been to doctors and gastroenterologists and no one can figure out what is wrong with me, other than possible IBS. I have tested negative for Celiac (i think) but am wondering if I might be gluten sensitive. I'm 26, very active, and would really like to figure out what is causing all my pain and discomfort.

My main symptoms are bloating, gas, intestinal pain, constipation/diarrea

Do you think it could a gluten sensitivity?

Anyone who has had problems (of any sort) since they were a child, it's almost surely a gluten sensitivity.

You can also 'acquire' Celiac Disease later in life too, so for 'high risk' people, there are studies that suggest getting tested every year to see if you end up becoming positive later. So, if it's been many years since you've been tested it's always worth it to test again.

But DEFINITELY try a Gluten Intolerance Diet to see if that will help. You'll never know until you try.

Sorry that no doctor ever suggested this to you. It's really a shame to have left you practically your entire life without even suggesting that you see if gluten is your problem.

Also, if you haven't ever tried eliminating dairy, it could also be lactose intolerance. So, since gluten intolerance can lead to lactose intolerance, it's good to eliminate both when you start. Then if you feel better, add in milk FIRST, and see if that causes any reactions.
