Vitamin D too low

Hi Leila,

Yes, a level of Vitamin D 17 is too low. The 'normal' on your laboratory test sheet will say that 'normal' is 30 to 100 ng/ml.

But researchers believe that an 'Optimal' Vitamin D Level should be between 40 to 80 ng/ml.


I hope that your doctor ordered treatment for your Vitamin D Deficiency, if not- you should ask him about getting treatment to get your level up into optimal range.
