What exactly will vitamin D do for me?

I'm on 75mg of Effexor XR for my depression. Will taking vitamin D help with my depression and will it affect my prescription from working properly? Will vitamin D help acne? Will it give me more energy to get out of bed in the morning?

Vitamin D Will Fix Low Vitamin D Levels
by: Kerri Knox, RN- The Immune Queen!

Sarah,

Vitamin D is not some magical drug that is going to fix all of your problems. What I guarantee that the right amount of vitamin d will do is that it WILL, without a doubt, correct low vitamin d levels.

If any or all of your problems have been caused by low vitamin d levels, then IF you bring your vitamin d levels up to the OPTIMAL levels, then these problems COULD resolve- again, that is IF your problems are caused from low vitamin d levels.

It sounds like you are looking for a magic bullet and I can't help you any further than that. My site is FILLED with tons of good reasons to keep your vitamin d levels at optimal levels regardless of whether it fixes these problems or not.

My site is also filled with LOTS of good suggestions for fixing the underlying reasons WHY you are having all of these problems.

Vitamin D is a TOOL that can help in your pursuit of optimal health. Just like you can't use only a hammer to build a house, you are not going to use ONLY vitamin d to solve all of your problems and/or achieve optimum health. Please don't turn it into something more than that....

Magic Bullet vit D
by: Anonymous

All she did was ask if it would help her anti-depressant work better. I have the same question seeing how depression is linked to low vitamin D levels. I too am looking for a magic bullet, or some help with my achy joints/muscles, depression, exhaustion, etc. What's wrong w/that?
