Vitamin D,25 Hydroxy Total

This is what the test says


vitamin d, 25-OH, total 18 ng/ml 30-100
vitamin d,25-OH,D2 <4 ng/ml
vitamin d, 25-OH D3 18

I wanted to know what that means because I live in pain my legs and feet, shoulders and neck hurt so bad all the time and I can't get any answers.

Low Vitamin D

Hi Sabrina,

This means that you have a vitamin d level of 18 which is quite low and could very well be (at least in part) the cause of your pain.

See the page on Vitamin D and Pain to see how vitamin d deficiency can be contributing to your pain.

But don't expect vitamin d to 'fix' you. It's very likely that you are experiencing pain for more reasons than 'just' vitamin d deficiency- and I encourage you to get my FREE book 'The Essential Guide to Lasting Pain Relief' when you Sign Up For My Newsletter.

'JUST' taking vitamin d by itself could actually lead to INCREASED pain, so don't make that mistake - and get the book and follow the instructions there. Vitamin D will likely help you, but it's not 'the magic bullet' that will fix everything for you...

D2 and D3 Levels???

What do the other two levels mean? My levels are very similar to these levels. My D2 were zero and D3 levels were 25. What do these levels represent?

Mine was a result of 5 and they put me on a 8wk pres. and then retesting my results, the pain I have in leg,knee, and feet are not as bad but they do still hurt occasionally.

For it being that low can it cause any harm else where?
