Medication Interaction with Vitamin D
by: Kerri Knox, RN-The Immune Health Queen!

Hi Cathy,

That is a Way better question for a pharmacy. They have really sophisticated drug interaction computer programs that would be able to tell you that in an instant, and it would be a lot more accurate than what I might tell you.

Having said that, you said you are concerned about the interaction between the medications- but what about the medications themselves? I'M more concerned about what you are doing to your body that you Require all of those drugs??

Hypertension and diabetes are both preventable AND treatable with diet and lifestyle changes. Those 'problems' that you have are really just 'symptoms' of:

* Poor eating habits
* Not getting sunlight
* Not getting enough exercise
* Too much stress

and so on and so on. There is MUCH that you can do to improve your situation and possibly even Overcome your high blood pressure and diabetes! Really!

Your body is trying to tell you something, and if you choose to listen and act on that then you could change the course of your life! When you are ready to take the first step, I highly recommend that you get Dr. Carolyn Dean's Future Health Now Program.

You really don't have to live like this, you can be well again.

Concerns
by: Anonymous

Greetings Kerri,

I would like to point out that, as nurses, we may like to assist in possible questions and concerns some may have in regards to matters both you and I have learned through our professional education and clinical practice. However, this person was asking a question in regards to their diabetes and thyroid medications and you so easily said "both are preventable and treatable with lifestyle changes".

I too was looking for some advice, even as a MSN, CCNP, CDE and I have had diabetes for 28 years that was not preventable. I also have MS that is also has an unknown auto-immune linking. Please be careful what is said. It may offend some as it did me. Again, thank you for being there to aide and support in answering questions, but please know your audience and what can be misunderstood!

Again Thank you!

Concerns too
by: Kerri Knox, RN- The Immune Queen!

So the one thing that I have concerns about too, is that people who disagree with me always refuse to leave their name so that there can be no dialogue and so they don't actually have to get my answer that disagrees with them...

In any case, I find it curious that someone who is obviously well-educated with degrees as illustrious as MSN, CCNP, CDE believes that disease simply comes about magically. I say this because it seems that you believe that disease is neither preventable nor treatable (presumably except with drugs) which means that they just arise from nowhere and that your disease, in particular, arose from nowhere and is therefore neither preventable nor curable (without drugs).

Well, I would encourage you to read about other cultures and not get all of your education from the medical establishment. For instance, Okinawans are the most studied of the long-lived people in the world and their lifestyle has been studied extensively. They do not get diabetes or Multiple Sclerosis while they live their traditional lifestyle- but get these diseases in the same amounts as everyone else when they abandon their traditional lifestyles.

I would encourage you to read The Okinawa Program where they outline the many many studies done on these people who get almost no diabetes, osteoporosis, breast cancer or autoimmune disease.

You would also do well to read the works of Weston Price, specifically the book Nutrition and Physical Degeneration where he shows that even cavities and impacted wisdom teeth are entirely preventable 'diseases'.

So, I'm sorry that I offended you, but when people's false belief system's come into contact with scientific evidence that they are wrong, people throughout history have always responded with denial and becoming offended. I'm not interested in preventing people from becoming offended, but in telling the truth and, as a result, helping people who are able to hear that they actually CAN get well, to get well.

completely agree
by: Salma

Hi Karri,it was good to read your comment and might I add that i'm very happy that atleast some people think logically and not get hypnotized by docs who are there just there to make money or dont' even know what they're dealing with.

I'm suffering from autoimmune thyroid disease, it's in my family but if you notice it's more common than diabetes now. the doc I went to was so rude and unethical that instead of telling me to relax and take care of my health, he would say i'm borderline diabetic and i have thyroid cancer and gave me 4 different prescriptions leaving me feel even worst than before.

I was miserable until a friend of mine told me to change my diet and lifestyle and suggested i eat organic food and meditate. I completely agree with you. Diseases are brought on by ourselves, in today's fast pace life we forget that we are responsible for what we put in our body and how we treat ourselves, we let a handful of people tell us what to eat and forget that our bodies have amazing healing powers, that we need simple food not complex things that the grocery stores sell us.

We are so worried about keeping our jobs and get are the material things that we dont' even need but don't care about our spirituality. I think as human beings we need to stay close to nature and be a part of it not try to change it by diluting our drinking water, adding hormones to our meat and dairy and treating our produce with harmful chemicals.

I think if we pay close attention to our diet and overcome our stress and depression a lot of the diseases just disappear on their own. What about taking herbs for supplements instead of chemicals. I talk to my family about this and just get laughed at as if i'm just making no sense to them at all but i know they've been brainwashed aswell.

Sometimes i get so desperate for some support but one day the world will know even if it means educating one person at a time. I'll also read your recommended books.

thanks again,

Salma
