Vitamin D Supplements Raise My Calcium Levels

by MAGS

I SUFFER FROM VITAMIN D DEFICIENCY, ESPECIALLY IN THE WINTER MONTHS, AND WAS WONDERING ABOUT USING A SUN BED AS I CANNOT TOLERATE VITAMIN D DUE TO IT RAISING MY CALCIUM LEVELS (THE WORDS USED BY THE DERMATOLOGIST WAS VITAMIN D POISONING!!!)

FROM WHAT RESEARCH I HAVE DONE ONLINE THE ADVANTAGES OF USING A SUN BED FAR OUTWEIGH THE DISADVANTAGES OF VITAMIN D DEFICIENCY. I WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR OPINIONS.

Parathroid Problems
by: Kerri Knox, RN- The Immune Queen!

If doses of vitamin d raise your calcium levels to abnormal levels when you are still deficient in vitamin d, then your doctors are almost certainly overlooking an undiagnosed problem of hyperparathryoidism. Please read CAREFULLY the website Parathyroid.com.

A sunbed will not 'get around' the problem of vitamin d causing your calcium levels to rise if you have hyperparathyroidism. And if you do, then you need to get this problem taken care of and not find a 'work around' for the high calcium levels.

In healthy people, taking vitamin d when there is a deficiency does NOT raise calcium levels. You have a systemic problem of some sorts and you need to find it.
