Vitamin D from Lanolin or from Fish

by April
(Los Angeles)

Which is better and easier to digest the one made from Fish oil or the one from Lanolin? I take them with food but have IBS which makes my stomach very sensitive.

Fish Oil or Lanolin for best results...
by: Kerri Knox, RN-The Immune Health Queen!

Hi April,

As far as I know, ZERO studies differentiate between Vitamin D3 from Fish Oil or from Lanolin- and aside from calling each manufacturer to find out how their vitamin D is made, I think that you would be hard pressed to find this out.

As far as I know, both are equally good and few people have side effects for either one. The important thing is that you take a High Quality Vitamin D3 Supplement in a clinically significant dose and do that only AFTER you have had a Vitamin D Level drawn to see how much Vitamin D you actually need.

And if you have IBS, you might want to check out my information on Gluten Sensitivity. There is MUCH research that points to Gluten as a contributing factor in IBS- and I find that the vast majority of people with IBS who go gluten free find great relief from symptoms.
