I had blood work a week ago and my Vitamin D level was 20. I have had muscle pain for the past 2 months and feel generally very weak. Could these symptoms be because of my vitamin D deficiency? What can be done?

How can I supplement vitamin D?

Could Muscle Pain and Rib Pain
be a Symptom of Vitamin D Deficiency?

by Christine

I went to doctor with severe pain in my legs and arms. Also my chest/ribcage around to my back and in between my shoulder blades hurt.

My muscles actually go into spasms!

My Vitamin D blood level is very low but they didn't feel that this would cause this much wide spread pain. Also I have numbness in my hands and feet.

Would vitamin D deficiency be able to cause these symptoms?

Hi Vivian,

Could you please give me more details about your condition so that I can help. What is your Vitamin D Level? What are your symptoms and how long have you had them?

What dosage of Vitamin D did your doctor tell you to take? Did he give you Prescription Vitamin D or Vitamin D3?
