Is it safe to take B12 if you have a cobalt/chrome artificial hip?

I have had symptoms of fibromyalgia since I took antibiotics about 25 years ago, and have been taking CoQ10 and various antioxidants for years with great success. Recently I got an all-metal cobalt/chrome hip replacement. The doctor told me it would increase the metal ions in my system. Is it OK to take B12 methylcobalimin)? Thanks!

No Studies

In order to answer your question by any means that is not a sheer and total guess, there would need to be at least one or more studies done to give me information about that. There are none.

So, the real question is... why would you ask? What would make you believe that it would be UNsafe to take methylcobalamin with a hip replacement?

Again, I can't answer the question of whether it's safe, but the question is why would you believe it's unsafe?
