Intense muscle cramps thoughout the body

by Joan Smeaton

3years ago I had to have my kneecap repaired with wires and screws which remain in my knee. For the past couple of years I have been getting extremely intense pain - like cramp but deep inside my whole leg with intensity building till it feels like my leg is about to turn inside out, taking a long time to subside and then my leg muscles feel like I've been kicked really hard.

I also find I'm getting the more normal type cramps in all different parts of my body especially my hands or part of. I have always had trouble with night leg cramps since I was a child. This seems different , waking me up 2 or 3 times a night , usually for a few nights and then I'll be ok for a few nights before it comes back again. Do you think it might have something to do with the wiring in my knee?

Please read the page you commented on. It's Causes of Muscle Cramps. It explains the causes of muscle cramps.

But can you tell me why you think that wiring in the knee would cause muscle cramps throughout the body?
