i just got a letter from my dr. that my vit d level is 13

I am a 59 year old male. I have had a triple bypass on my heart, iliac to fem bypasses on both legs, fem to fem bypass that did not work, tired all the time, bone and mucle pain, depression, uncontrolled diabeties. How much of this could be caused by my level being 13. I am also on testostone shots.

You'll find out when you bring your levels up to normal. There is no possible way anyone can know how much of your problems is due to that, but you have MANY problems and vitamin d is NOT a magic bullet that is going to fix you.

In your case, heart disease is due to, among other things, so called 'vegetable oils' and trans-fats along with 'inflammatory' foods like processed foods and sugar. Also magnesium deficiency, along with vitamin d deficiency, contributes greatly to heart disease....

Thinking that vitamin d is going to 'fix' you is unrealistic and 'magical' thinking. Heart disease is a LONG LONG LONG process that has many different causes, all of which you need to fix to slow down and reverse the process...
