Hi there i've just purchased this product and i'm wondering if it would be safe to take after reading some of your articles i'm left a little confused.

Nutrition Information (Average Value) Per 10 ml
Seven Seas Triomega® Cod Liver Oil Blend 1050mg
Providing Omega-3 nutrients 400mg
of which EPA & DHA 360mg
Vitamin D 5µg (100% RDA)
Vitamin E 10mgTE (100% RDA)
Energy, Protein, Carbohydrate and Fat negligible

these are the stated ingredients, would this concern an overdose of vitamin D, and since this does not have vitamin A, does it make this brand more appreciable?
thanks

It doesn't say it DOESN'T have vitamin a
by: Kerri Knox, RN- The Immune Queen!

Hi Hassan,

I'm fairly certain that this product DOES contain vitamin a, it just doesn't say it. It says that it contains a cod liver oil blend and then gives specific parts in that, but that doesn't mean that is a complete list of everything that is in cod liver oil.

For instance, if you listed 'broccoli' as an ingredient, you aren't required to list the specific amounts of folate, iron and vitamin c that the broccoli actually contains.

So, just because it's not listed doesn't mean it's not there- just like there is iron in broccoli whether it's listed or not. There is still vitamin a in ALL cod liver oil. You would have to call the company to find out how much.
