H Pylori and High Sed Rate

First thank you for your website. My question is I have high markers for sed rate an crp. I have been diagnosed with H Pylori and currently on treatment. Will Crp rate and sed rate go down when H pylori is eradicated?

H Pylori and Sed Rate
by: Kerri Knox, Registered Nurse

Hi Connie,
Well, my answer isn't going to satisfy you, but it's all that anyone can tell you. A high sed rate and CRP are non-specific markers of inflammation. And while inflammation can come from H pylori, it can also come from many sources, including other infections, autoimmune disease, and consequences of poor diet- even if you THINK that you have a good diet.

So, my conclusive answer is 'maybe' they will go down, maybe they won't. If they DON'T go down afterwards, or you don't get rid of your H pylori on the antibiotics that you've been given, you may want to consider getting my book The H Pylori Solution to learn how to get rid of your H pylori the first time, or to finally get rid of it when antibiotics haven't worked. It will also help you get rid of several other reasons that you could have a high sed rate and CRP.
