Can H pylori cause acute allergy?

Can you please be more detailed. I'm not sure what you mean by 'acute allergy' or why you think that it is the H pylori that is causing it.

What kink of allergy? Do you mean food allergies? Or do you mean environmental allergies?

Itching and redness all over

My mother is suffering from itching and redness all over her body since about 4 months,it doesn't respond to antihistaminics even corticosteroids.Her doctor asked for H.pylori test in stool,and it was positive.Can H.pylori be the cause of that type of allergy?

No, you can't be allergic to H pylori.

Hi Marwa,

No, what you are describing is a reaction that your mother is allergic to SOMETHING. While H pylori can contribute to the conditions in your body where you can BECOME allergic to things more easily, your mother cannot be having an allergic reaction to the bacteria itself. You need to understand that your mother has likely had the H pylori bacteria for years and maybe even decades- maybe even her entire LIFE! Just because she got diagnosed with H pylori recently doesn't mean that she just got it. In fact it's more likely that she's had it for years than it is that she JUST got it.

You need to find out what she is allergic to. It may be a food, even if she has eaten it every day for her whole life. Try removing different foods or laundry products or anything that she comes into contact with one at a time and see if that resolves her problem.

I just want to repeat this, your mother is not and cannot be allergic to the H pylori bacteria, although getting rid of the bacteria can decrease allergies by decreasing overall immune system overactivity, inflammation and a leaking gut.
