Fibromyalgia Only at Night

by Kevin
(Texas)

I have been seen by three seperate neurologist over the past 7 years with the first one diagnosing me with fibromyalgia (I am a male and 26 yrs old at the time of the initial diagnosis) and the other two saying that there is no way I have fibromyalgia! In that time I have become dependant on tramadol to sleep normaly and been put on and taken off of cymbalta!

My question is....I dont feel the pain symptoms during the day for the most part but when I sit on the couch, I become completely exhausted and all I want to do is sleep! The biggest issue is at night. If I was to attempt to sleep without taking tramadol, I would wake up about an hour later in an overheating state and my entire body starts to sieze up and the pain of my body contracting is so nonstop and painful, I am taken to the point of tears and it continues until I fall asleep from total exhaustion and its nearly impossible to wake me up. when I finally do drag myself out of bed, I feel like I have the worst hangover in the world and feel as if I havent slept in days!!! PLEASE HELP, I HATE THIS AND IT AFFECTS EVERY ASPECT OF MY LIFE!!!!!

Magnesium
by: Kerri Knox, RN- The Immune Queen!

Kevin,

Your problems sound EXACTLY like magnesium deficiency. It's possible that a magnesium deficiency is your ONLY problem (setting aside for the moment, whatever is going on to have MADE you so magnesium deficient in the first place).

Please see my page on Fibromyalgia and Magnesium. Your problem sounds exactly like Latent Tetany Syndrome, often misdiagnosed as fibromyalgia. Check it out, start on magnesium as I recommend in my Magnesium Dosage page. Do NOT fall into the trap of buying some cheap-o magnesium from the drug store and taking 'some' magnesium or telling me that your magnesium level was normal when the doctor checked it. The ONLY way that you will know for sure if this is due to magnesium deficiency is to take magnesium in the form and dosage that I recommend for approximately a month or two and find out...

Let me know how that turns out for you..
