Do I have H Pylori?

by Julio
(Oklahoma USA )

For the last year I work International rotating back and forth to Mexico. Due to my schedule I don't have time to cook or eat healthy and of course the water over there is not so great. For the last year I have started to burp a lot more than usual and started to have muscle pain especially around the calves and arms.

Recently I've had stomach pain that wakes me up at night and I get hungry right away. Maybe two hours after eating my stomach is growling. I started having muscle spasms all over my body and what seems to be heart palpitations. I have cut out all the gluten and that seems to help on my stomach bloating and pain. I can't drink beer because I get really bad muscle aches and stomach pain. I don't drink coffee or soda any more but that use to be what all I drank and energy drinks. I had a hard time losing weight for the past year weighing at 213 pounds and in the last months since I started cutting out the gluten and sugars I've lost 8 pounds and feels good.

I had loose stools for half of the day but later on I would do good trria and error I guess with the taking of multivitamins b complex and calcium. My joints and muscles feeling a little better. My question is does this sound like H pylori???

It could be H pylori or any number of pathogens

Hi Julio,

Your symptoms 'could' be due to H pylori, but they could also be due to any number of intestinal pathogens. Especially with your history of going back and forth from the US to Mexico and your history of some diarrhea, I'd suggest that you get a Comprehensive Intestinal Pathogen Test that will test for H pylori as well as a myriad of other intestinal pathogens, any one of which could be responsible for your current symptoms.
