Could Stomach pains and Shakiness be from Gluten Sensitivity

by Jodi
(Nebraska)

I have long suspected I might have a Gluten Sensitivity though not severe. However the past year I have experienced on going stomach pains and problems. After undergoing many different tests they can't find out what is wrong but the pains continue.

I did have an upper and lower GI test and the doctor said there was no sign of celiac disease. Just a couple months ago I began experiencing this horrible (non visual) shaking and inner tremors. I have went through a battery of tests and nothing is being resolved yet the feelings continue especially later in the day and at night. It is driving me nuts.

I also have extremely low Vitamin D Levels, could these symptoms be gluten intolerence related?

Get off of Gluten ASAP!!
by: Kerri Knox, RN- The Immune Queen!

Hi Jodi,

So, first of all, please read my page on Vitamin D Therapy and follow the instructions there carefully for your vitamin d deficiency.

Do NOT assume that your doctor knows how to treat your vitamin d deficiency properly. Make sure that he is doing it RIGHT and that you get the most benefit from your vitamin d treatment.

Next, Jodi!!

If you've 'Long Suspected' that you are gluten intolerant, then why, oh why have you let yourself suffer with Symptoms of Gluten Intolerance??

You've dealt with stomach pains and what sounds like health problems that are getting worse and worse- PLEASE get off of gluten ASAP!!

Please read my page on Diagnosing Gluten Sensitivity to see why your doctor telling you that you don't have Celiac Disease is MEANINGLESS!! It's very likely that you have Non Celiac Gluten Intolerance and that you need to get off of gluten.

If you had suspected that you had lactose intolerance, you would not have suffered with stomach pains for a year and went through extensive and expensive testing and asked for your doctor's approval- you would have simply stopped drinking milk to see how it made you feel.

Trust yourself and your body Jodi. You don't NEED a doctor to tell you what foods make you feel OK and which foods make you feel terrible!!

Please read my page on the Gluten Intolerance Diet to see the details of how to go about doing a gluten free trial.

gluten sensitivity and ibs, low blood sugar, fatigue, brain fog
by: jackie

For years I have been suffering from IBS, and fatigue. Lately I have noticed my blood sugar dropping fairly frequently (I'm not diabetic), and try as I may I can't lose weight, but gain. I usually don't sleep more than 4 hours, but even when I do sleep 6 or 7, I still wake up feeling exhausted. I struggle through the day, feeling foggy.

Having had enough, I began researching and found a diet that eliminated all "white" carbs and dairy except for eggs- essentially gluten free. I am now feeling so much better, I actually told my husband that it felt like I was slowly poisoning myself before.

A little more research later and I found your website. I don't know if I have gluten insensitivity, but I'm not going to eat it again to find out!

Jackie

PS, none of my doctors ever mentioned eliminating gluten or testing for insensitivity. And the IBS which had no cure is now gone!

Stomach Pains and Shakiness

Malasorption due to gluten insensitivity or for any other reason can result in low blood sugar as well as low other nutients & vitamins (Vitamin D). This can lead to HYPOGLYCEMIA.

This is a simple but, for some reason, often overlooked condition that has many uncomfortable symptoms. Shakiness and tension/irritability included. Check out/Google HYPOGLYCEMIA symptoms. It may (or may not) explain a lot. It is certainly worth a look however. Trust me. Been there, done this, got the T-Shirt.

Thanks
