Could my fibromyalgia flareup be something else?

by Connie
(St Louis)

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia four years ago. For about a month, the symptoms have worsened. My leg pain has worsened, my hands and feet are constantly tingling and feeling numb, I get occasional headaches. I believe its something more serious because Im usually pretty good at managing it.

I also have cystitis and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I went to the er and they gave me a shot of morphine in both hips and prescribed me with ibruprofine 800s. Neither were effective. I followed up with my doc who precribed me with vicodin. Still no relief. I will be going back to the neurologist that diagnosed me with fibromyalgia soon.

My doctor suggested this.

Fibromyalgia already is something else
by: Kerri Knox, Registered Nurse

Fibromyalgia already IS something else. It's just a collection of symptoms that does not tell you what the cause is. Please see my page on Fibromyalgia Syndrome vs. Disease to explain what I mean by this.
