Could Gluten Sensitivity Create a Lot of Mucus

by Tony
(Colorado)

I have been a spitter my whole life. I have always produced too much mucus and lately have been vomiting up mucus there is so much. I've tried cutting out dairy and that seems to help but I'm starting to notice spitting after eating bread or noodles. I can rarely make it through a night without a "Hack Attack". Please help!

Food Allergies...
by: Kerri Knox, RN- The Immune Queen!

Hi Tony,

I would definitely suspect some sort of food allergy with your condition. Gluten is always my first suspect, so take a look at my Gluten Intolerance Diet page and give a gluten-free diet a try. You just might be surprised!

The other most common culprits for food allergies are:

Dairy (which you are already working on)
Soy
Egg

So, you could either try eliminating all of those at one time, or just start with gluten and see how you do.
