Could Eye Inflammation be Due to H Pylori

by anne

My daughter has vitiligo and eye inflammation that seems to have no cause. Test after test is negative. She is 13 amd is being treated by the top eye doctor at bascom palmer in miami. She has also been tested for gluten/ celiac and again - negative. She also gets a lot of stomach aches. Been treated for gerd and reflux too.

Poor kid is tired of suffering. Could it be h pylori and/or low stomach acid?

Unless you test, you'll never know

Hi Anne,

It COULD be H pylori, but it's really no use speculating. If you have a suspicion that it is, then just get tested. If your doctor does not agree and will not test her, you can just order an H Pylori Stool Test and find out for yourself. In fact, getting a stool test is the best way to test anyway, since a blood test might not detect a chronic infection.

Also, just because she is negative for Celiac Disease does not mean that she does not have Gluten Sensitivity. They are entirely different. If she has vitiligo, there is a good chance that she is gluten sensitive.
