If you're allergic to it then sure it can...
by: Kerri Knox, RN- The Immune Queen!

ANYONE can be allergic to ANYTHING. OR better stated, there is someone who is allergic to every substance out there.

Is there a reason why you are asking? I have no interest in elaborating on a 'hypothetical' question. So, if you have more details, then I'd be glad to help...

Itchy

I think maybe he asked because he started taking it and now he's itchy since he started taking it. Why not answer? I began taking vitamins, one of which is Vitamin D, and I have become itchy.

KERRI'S ANSWER:

Like I said, I don't elaborate on 'hypothetical' situations. I have answered several THOUSAND questions and the reason that I don't answer hypotheticals is because, like you, I've speculated many times on why someone is asking, spend a bunch of my time answering a question thinking that I am answering someone's question and that turns out not to be their question at all.

THAT is why I'm not answering his question. But this IS a forum, if you have experience and can answer his question, then why 'pass the buck' onto me and chastise ME for not answering a question?? Please, by all means answer this gentleman's question if you feel you have experience in this area...

Vitamin D3 itching
by: Barb H

Ok, so I have the same question - and it's not hypothetical. My doctor put me in 50,000 units once per week for 4 weeks and 5 days after taking the first dose I am itching all over: hands, arms, back, legs, face & neck. Other than the itching, I believe I feel minor positive results already. Comment?

Hi Barb,

I have 7 threads going regarding vitamin d and itching that I've been answering on and off for some time now. If you go to the page on Skin Reactions from Vitamin D, please take a look at the answers to those threads that I've already answered.
